Residential Marketing & Sales Associate

Principal Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Develop and improve current marketing plans and budgets for each Self-Help location throughout North Carolina
  • Work closely with project team in development of plans
  • Produce and update all promotional materials and presentations
  • Recruit and manage listing agents when necessary but also manage sales of homes in projects where more appropriate

Sales

  • Serve as point of contact for all Self-Help homeowners prior and up to closing of a home
  • Serve as liaison between buyer, Self-Help CDC and lender/granting entities
  • Prepare applications for subordinate mortgages and other subsidy funding
  • Consult with project team to coordinate sales and closing process
  • Manage all responses and referrals including maintenance of homebuyer hotline

Desired Qualifications

The perfect candidate for this position will possess outstanding organizational skills, proven attention to detail, and strong teamwork and customer service ethics are required.  Successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to initiate and coordinate numerous activities with minimal supervision and will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills.  
Interpersonal skills and an ability to problem solve with homebuyers is essential.  Finally, the candidate must demonstrate a genuine interest in community development and economic justice issues as well as a desire to work in a racially and socially diverse organization.  Computer skills related to Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Access are highly desirable.  BA/BS required, graduate degree and/or work experience in related field as well as a real estate license are preferred.
