As a nonprofit lender, Self-Help is in a unique position to serve the nonprofit community. We understand both the funding streams of nonprofits and the environment that nonprofits face. Additionally, as a community development organization it is part of our mission to ensure that the nonprofit community thrives.
Who We Serve
Nonprofit human services providers and other community organizations, including health care providers, charter schools, child care and Head Start organizations, religious institutions and supportive housing developers in North Carolina.
Self-Help will consider out of state loans to nonprofits that have financing needs above $500,000 and are located in low-income areas.
Types of Loans
Self-Help provides financing for nonprofits to:
- buy real estate or equipment,
- renovate your facility
- expand operations,
- cover short-term gaps between grant pledges and receipts
