Thank you for your interest in federally insured Self-Help socially responsible deposit accounts. We welcome your deposit in Self-Help Credit Union, Self-Help Federal Credit Union, or both! No matter what you decide, your funds will make a difference to the families, individuals, entrepreneurs, and communities we work with.

Self-Help Credit Union (SHCU) is a North Carolina State chartered institution. Since 1984 it has been a community development lender and real estate developer.
 
To open a Self-Help IRA account, please call our Deposit Servicing Team at (800) 966-7353 or email us for an IRA application. Rollovers and transfers require additional forms that we will supply when you call. We require that all necessary forms be completed before an IRA account is opened. If you are not currently a SHCU or SHFCU member, you must first apply for a membership.

Self-Help Federal Credit Union (SHFCU), founded in 2008, expands Self-Help's mission by increasing access to responsible, affordable financial services in under-served communities, initially in California.

To open a Self-Help IRA account, please call our Deposit Servicing Team at (800) 966-7353 or email us for an IRA application.
