Checking accounts are available for members of Self-Help Credit Union.

Individual Checking – No monthly maintenance fee
Two Levels:
Basic –Earn ¼% on minimum average balance of $100.
Premium – Earn ½% below Self-Help’s money market rate on minimum average balance of $2500.
Organizational/Business Checking – earn ¼% on a minimum average balance of $100
Two Types:
Business - $10 monthly maintenance fee.
Nonprofit - $5 monthly maintenance fee.
*Overdraft Transfer Overdraft transfer links the member’s Credit Union savings account to the member’s Credit Union checking account. Funds from the savings account are automatically transferred to the primary checking account as needed to prevent overdrafts on the account. Transfers are done in increments of $50.00. The entire balance of the savings account is accessible for overdraft transfer payments, if needed. The credit union will charge a small fee for each overdraft transfer.
Your savings at Self-Help Credit Union and its affiliates are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (the equivalent of the FDIC for credit unions) to at least the $250,000 limit.
