Position Description: Self-Help is looking for a full-time candidate eager to learn and further develop their career in the mortgage business to join its Mortgage Credit Administration team in Charlotte. The Bilingual Mortgage Credit Analyst (Processor) will analyze mortgage loan files and obtain required documentation to ensure loan compliance with underwriting and regulatory guidelines. The Mortgage Credit Analyst will work with loan officers, underwriters, closers, borrowers and referral sources to obtain accurate and timely loan information. The selected candidate must exhibit a strong commitment to helping others, including low-wealth borrowers who have been underserved by traditional financial institutions in the past, and will work with customers to help them during the closing process. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Essential Responsibilities: The BL Mortgage Credit Analyst is responsible for handling all tasks required to prepare loan files for underwriting. This will include such tasks as processing and analyzing loan files, preparing files for final underwriting, conducting quality control of loan files including verifying borrower information, gathering information on loan files, moving the application along to underwriting, and inputting and ensuring he accuracy of loan information in our loan systems. The BL Mortgage Credit Analyst will perform other duties, including assisting with translation, as may be deemed necessary, as well. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2 year’s related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to effectively plan organize and prioritize work; keen attention to detail. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and/or individuals. Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting of financial data. Ability to learn and develop understand of FHA and conforming loan products. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. English/Spanish fluency. Physical Requirements: Frequently requires use of manual dexterity and repetitive motions, primarily with the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
