Loan Relief


As we seek to protect our members’ health and safety during the COVID-19 outbreak, we also are taking immediate action to help provide financial relief. If you have a loan with Self-Help and are worried about being able to make your payments, please reach out. We can work with you to find solutions.

Mortgage Loan Borrowers

Mortgage borrowers can call our hotline at 800-747-3209. We can offer financial guidance and discuss your options. Alternatively, please fax documentation of job loss or reduced income to 919-287-2263 or email it to mortgagelossmitigation@self-help.org. Please include your full name, phone number and property address.

Consumer Loan Borrowers

Self-Help Credit Union members who currently have a consumer loan with us may be eligible to delay loan payments with no credit penalty. To be eligible, you must be experiencing hardship directly related to COVID-19.

This offer applies to current, personal loans (car loans, share-secured loans, and other consumer loans). An application is required.

Self-Help CU branch lobbies are now closed for your protection, but we will also be happy to accept applications at drive-through windows at our branches. Commercial Loan Borrowers

Contact your loan officer or call our commercial loan servicing team at 1-800-747-3215.

SBA 504 Loan Borrowers
