Disaster Relief Loans

Helping Members Affected by Hurricanes and Other Natural Disasters

Hurricanes and other severe weather events can bring financial stress alongside emotional and logistical disruption. If you've experienced a natural disaster, we're here to help you get back on track financially while you recover. See below for details on our Disaster Relief Loan.

Disaster Relief Loan Details

  • Borrow up to $5,000 at 8.75% interest for up to 36 months.
  • Loan purpose must be related to hurricane recovery and may include home repairs, replacement of personal belongings, and cash flow interruption due to loss of work time and pay. Paystubs and other verifications required.
  • Only available to existing Self-Help CU members. All loans subject to underwriting and credit assessment.

How to Apply

Contact your local branch to apply. Members may also apply online by logging into online banking and clicking "Loan Application" under "Online Services"  -- please indicate in the application that it is for disaster relief.
