An impact that lasts
Our mission is long-term: We're here to create ownership and economic opportunity for those who are too often left out, and we'll be doing it for years to come. Including Self-Help in your will or other estate planning instruments means you'll be part of that change, even after you're gone.
Giving options
By making a gift in your will or designating Self-Help as a beneficiary, you leave a legacy of economic empowerment for all.
Donors designate a fixed amount or percentage gift in their will or living trust, to be given to Self-Help when you pass.
- Flexible and easy
- Provides estate tax deduction
- A gift of even a small percentage has a big impact
Donors name Self-Help as full or partial beneficiary of IRAs, 401ks, life insurance policies, or transfer-on-death bank/brokerage accounts.
- Simple and impactful
- Passes outside probate
- Tax efficient
The Center for Community Self-Help is not a credit union. It is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization within the broader Self-Help family. Gifts to the Center for Community Self-Help are not credit union share accounts.
Self-Help's policy and research arm, the Center for Responsible Lending (CRL), works to ensure a fair, inclusive financial marketplace for all. CRL accepts individual donations of all sizes, planned gifts, grants from organizations, and more.
