Eligibility

Eligibility—Two Easy Ways to Join Us

There are two primary ways to become a member of Self-Help Credit Union:

1. Join if you live, work, worship or attend school in any of the North Carolina counties listed below and open an account with a minimum $5 balance.

2. Join our nonprofit, the Center for Community Self-Help, for a one-time $5 fee.

You are also eligible for Self-Help Credit Union membership (1) if you are an immediate family member of an existing member, or (2) through a qualifying workplace affiliation.

We also have a federally chartered sister credit union, Self-Help Federal Credit Union, serving California, Greater Chicago and Florida (Apopka and Pierson).
