Oct 19, 2022

[Durham, NC] October 19, 2022 —Parts of North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida are still feeling the effects of Hurricane Ian including many counties served by Self-Help Credit Union. Recovery will be a long process as the region manages the aftermath of flooding, displaced families, shuttered businesses, and the tragic loss of life.

Families are hurting.  To help ease the burden, Self-Help is offering Disaster Relief Loans that allow existing Self-Help members to borrow up to $5,000 at 8.75% interest for up to 36 months. The loan purpose must be related to Hurricane Ian recovery and may include home repairs, replacement of personal belongings, and cash flow interruption due to loss of work time and pay.

Disaster relief loans are only available to existing Self-Help CU members. Contact a local Self-Help branch or apply online through online banking.  Please indicate in the application that it is for disaster relief when you apply.
