Credit Union Resources for Members Affected by Hurricanes

Many of our members live in areas affected by Hurricane Dorian or other storms this season. We at Self-Help Credit Union are taking all measures to continue our service to you. Here is a brief summary of resources for members.

How to get access to SHCU Banking Services

At our branches 

We expect that some Self-Help CU branches will be temporarily closed as a result of the hurricane. Information about branch closings will be posted on www.self-help.org.

Via ATM

If you have a Self-Help Credit Union debit or ATM card, you can get surcharge-free ATM access at:

ATMs nationwide that are part of the CO-OP network (Locate a CO-OP ATM

Via online, mobile or audio banking  

  • Online: If you are enrolled in online banking, you can log in using the orange login box at the top of the website.
  • Mobile: If you are enrolled in mobile banking, you can use the app on your cell phone.
  • Audio: Note that power outages could affect audio banking. When operating normally, you can bank by phone by calling 866-708-0694 (toll-free).  Enter your Self-Help Credit Union number and your 4-digit PIN (for first time users, the PIN will be the last four digits of your SSN or ITIN). Via ATM

Self-Help CU is offering affordable Disaster Relief Loans for current members who have suffered losses as a result of hurricanes this season. Find out more
